Playback Theater in The Orthodox Religious World (In English and Russian)

This article explores the issues regarding teaching and performing Playback Theater (PT) in the Religious and Ultra Orthodox (UO) Jewish communities in Israel. A brief description of the UO is followed by case examples that reflect the complexities of spontaneous performances in strict religious settings. Practical suggestions for performing and teaching PT is offered as well.
